Whether you just landed in Daejeon or have been living here for a while, this is your chance to learn practical Korean you can actually useโ€”and immediately practice it with friendly Korean locals over coffee.

  • Vibe: Casual, friendly, small-group, and conversation-focused

Daily Flow (3 Hours Total):

  • 2:00 PM โ€“ 3:00 PM (Mini-Lesson): Interactive session with Lily Kim focusing on 1 practical real-world skill.

  • 3:00 PM โ€“ 5:00 PM (Language Exchange): Practice what you just learned with native Korean speakers in a cozy cafe setting.

  • Week 1: Introduce Yourself & Express What You Like

    • Focus: Say hi, introduce yourself, and talk about your favorite foods, hobbies, and places (์€/๋Š” vs ์ด/๊ฐ€).

  • Week 2: Order Coffee & Food Like a Local

    • Focus: Master natural Korean sentence order and feel confident ordering at cafes and restaurants (์„/๋ฅผ).

  • Week 3: Politely Say "NO" or "I Can't"

    • Focus: Learn how to decline invitations and talk about things you can or cannot do smoothly (์•ˆ vs ๋ชป).

  • Week 4: Navigate Daejeon & Talk About Favorite Hangouts

    • Focus: Describe locations, daily routines, and where you go on weekends (์— vs ์—์„œ).

  • Week 5: K-Food & Lifestyle Survival

    • Focus: Describe tastes, weather, and daily feelings using essential Korean adjectives (Spicy, Hot, Easy, etc.).

  • Week 6: Speak Beyond Short Phrases

    • Focus: Connect short sentences into smooth, natural dialogue using everyday connecting words (ํ•˜๊ณ , ๊ทธ๋ฆฌ๊ณ , -๊ณ , -์•„์„œ/์–ด์„œ).

  • Week 7: Master Korean Etiquette (Polite vs. Casual)

    • Focus: Understand when to use honorifics (์กด๋Œ“๋ง) versus casual Korean (๋ฐ˜๋ง) through fun role-play activities.

  • Week 8: 1-Minute K-Talk Challenge & Celebration

    • Focus: Review key takeaways, share a short 3-to-5-sentence reflection, and hang out with the group!
