Refund and Cancellation Policy

Overview
At nurio, we strive to provide excellent service for all our English conversation sessions and events. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be requested and processed.
Event Ticket Refunds
All nurio events follow the refund policy below to ensure smooth venue booking and event preparation. Please review the policy carefully before confirming your ticket.
1. Individual Ticket
Refunds for individual tickets are processed based on the cancellation timing:
- 10+ days before event: Full refund (100%)
- 7-9 days before event: 90% refund (10% cancellation fee)
- 2-6 days before event: 50% refund (50% cancellation fee)
- 1 day before ~ Same day / after event start: No refund
2. Discounted Promotional Tickets
Super Early Bird and similar discounted promotional tickets are individual ticket tiers unless the event page explicitly labels them as group tickets:
- Single-seat promotional tickets follow the individual ticket refund schedule above unless a stricter event-specific policy is shown on the event page.
- If promotional tickets are purchased as a multi-seat order, the order is handled as a group ticket order for cancellation purposes.
- No additional group discount applies to promotional ticket tiers unless a separate group price is shown at checkout.
3. Group Ticket
Group tickets are offered at a discounted rate based on guaranteed attendance, thus a stricter policy applies:
- No refunds are allowed after the 'Group Refund Deadline' specified on each event page.
- If no specific date is mentioned, cancellations and full refunds are only accepted up to 14 days before the event.
- Partial refunds for individual members within a group are not permitted.
4. Event Cancellation by Host
- A full refund (100%) is automatically issued if the event is cancelled by the host.
Please note that each event may have its own specific refund policy. Always check the event details for applicable refund terms, which will override this general policy if there is a conflict.
Pass/Package Refunds
- Unused passes may be refunded within 7 days of purchase
- Partially used passes are non-refundable
- Passes cannot be refunded after the validity period expires
- For pass-based event tickets, cancellations within 48 hours of the event are final: no refund and no pass restoration
Deposit Cancellation Policy
For deposit-based event tickets, the deposit is held to secure your spot and is handled as follows:
- The deposit is refunded after you attend the event
- If you cancel more than 48 hours before the event starts, the deposit remains refundable
- If you cancel within 48 hours of the event start, the deposit is not refundable
- If you do not attend without cancelling, the deposit is not refundable
Refund Process
- Submit a refund request through Settings > Tickets or contact our support team
- Refund requests are reviewed within 1-3 business days
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-7 business days
Exceptions
In cases of technical issues, payment errors, or other extenuating circumstances, please contact our support team. We will review each case individually and work to find a fair resolution.
